Rolfing® Structural Integration

Why Natania?

As a certified Rolfer®, Natania stands out from other practitioners because of her rare ability to draw from a wide range of knowledge and experience across bodywork, movement education, and manual therapy. With over 25 years in the fitness and wellness industry, her background includes a California State Certification in Massage Therapy and a National Certification as a Personal Trainer since 1998.

Her education and hands-on experience allow her to approach rolfing from a more integrated perspective. Rather than focusing solely on Rolfing® or massage therapy, her work is informed by a broader understanding of the body, including principles from physical therapy, chiropractic care, and movement education, using tools like Graston Technique®, Active Release Therapy, visceral manipulation, and more.

Fascial Therapy & Bodywork

Frequently Asked Questions

Structural & Fascial Therapy
What is fascia?

Fascia is a three-dimensional network of connective tissue that envelops and connects all parts of the body, including muscles, organs, and nerves. It plays a critical role in supporting the body's structure and enabling smooth movement. Healthy fascial tissue allows for optimal flexibility and range of motion, while restrictions or adhesions can lead to pain, dysfunction, and chronic stress.

What is myofascial release?

Myofascial release (MFR) is a hands-on therapy technique that applies sustained pressure to release tension in myofascial tissues. By targeting trigger points and fascial restrictions, this approach enhances mobility, reduces muscle pain, and addresses underlying causes of discomfort. Myofascial release techniques are particularly effective for relieving chronic pain, improving posture, and increasing the range of motion.

Who can benefit from fascia bodywork?

Fascia bodywork and MFR can benefit a wide variety of individuals, starting with athletes. It helps them improve performance, recover faster, and prevent injuries. Chronic pain sufferers benefit from addressing conditions like back pain, fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain syndrome. Post-surgical patients can help addressing breaking down scar tissue, restoring mobility and alleviating discomfort.
